Introduction

Dr. Sean Zauhar is a police lieutenant with the Apple Valley Police Department and an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Thomas. With more than 25 years of law enforcement experience, he specializes in police training, curriculum development, program evaluation, and evidence-based policing. His research focuses on identifying and implementing effective training practices that enhance public safety, reduce use-of-force incidents, and strengthen community trust. As a National Institute of Justice LEADS Scholar, he works collaboratively with researchers and practitioners to advance evidence-based strategies in policing.
