Introduction

Sandra Menssen is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas; she served as chair of the University’s Philosophy Department from 2003 – 2015. Since 2018, she’s been Associate Dean of the University’s School of Education.

Dr. Menssen’s research interests lie mainly in the philosophy of religion. Her teaching interests at present focus on logic.

She was Co-editor of Logos: A Journal of Catholic Thought and Culture from 1998 – 2003 and has held various other editorial positions. She’s a past president of the Minnesota Philosophical Society and a past chair of the Society of Christian Philosophers’ National Committee for Liaison with the American Catholic Philosophical Association. In 2016 she was named a John Ireland Presidential Scholar at the University of St. Thomas.
