Robin is passionate about life-long learning to explore and expand how we understand ourselves and our world. She enjoys helping students develop into strong critical thinkers who engage in scholarship and research across their careers. Her interests focus broadly on exploring how we can support health, wellness and healing and improve health care for all.

Dr. Robin Whitebird is a professor and researcher with expertise in mixed methods, qualitative research, and clinical trials. She has received 10 grant awards as Principal Investigator, including the studies: Stress Reduction for Caregivers: A Randomized Controlled Study (R21AT003654), Managing Diabetes Mindfully (K23AT003919), and a Mentored Research Scientist Award - Use of Complementary & Alternative Medicine in Patient Management of Diabetes (K23AT003919) from NIH/ NCCIH. She has collaborated on 22 studies as a co-investigator and currently consults as a researcher on studies focusing on patient reported outcomes and strategies for organizational change. She teaches doctoral courses on research, scholarship, grant writing, and Banded Dissertation.
