Jiang (Will) Zhang, PhD, is an assistant professor of finance at the Opus College of Business of the University of St. Thomas in the Twin Cities. Zhang's main research area is market microstructure and explores topics ranging from market liquidity and fairness to high-frequency trading, institutional trading, and retail investors. Zhang's fintech research studies cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance. Zhang has taught finance courses such as Investments, Financial Markets, Fintech, and Financial Management. Before pursuing his PhD, Zhang had entrepreneurial experience in the finance, education, and real estate industries.
