Introduction
Greg Vandegrift loves teaching journalism. His professional passion is and has been storytelling — as a teacher, reporter and video producer. He joined St. Thomas as a Clinical Professor in 2008, and he now holds the rank of Senior Clinical Professor of Journalism. Greg was part of the first cohort of senior clinical faculty members at the university.
He teaches both the Multimedia Reporting and Advanced Multimedia Reporting courses, which he helped develop; Sports Broadcasting, which he also helped develop; and Digital Imagery and Sound — a related technical course. Twice, Greg has been lead adviser of student media.
Beyond teaching at St. Thomas, Greg also produces videos for the university. One of the videos – a mini-documentary - was part of an exhibit at Rome’s MAXXI Museum and later in France at Pierresvives Cultural Centre of Montpellier.
