Dr. Gresbrink joined the University of St. Thomas in 2026, and works as a technical writer at The Toro Company. As a writer, she supports multiple product lines and documentation processes, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and usability. Previously, Dr. Gresbrink served as a professor of technical communication with appointments in engineering and computer science, and held communication and administrative roles in healthcare. She also operates a freelance business focused on medical device operator manuals and technical communication consulting.
An award-winning teacher and researcher, Dr. Gresbrink earned her doctorate at the University of Minnesota, where she studied graduate student responses to institutional risk communication during the early COVID-19 pandemic. Her current research interests include digital risk communication, mentorship, computing languages and content management.
