Introduction

I teach Spanish language, literature, and culture at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses such as SPAN 111, 112, 211, 212, 300, 301, 489, and GSPA 540 (Spanish Golden Age Literature). I serve as department supervisor for language tutors, Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants, and Graduate Assistants, and work closely with the assessment committee to develop evaluations that support student learning and inform curriculum improvement.

I have led study abroad programs in Spain and Mexico, designing immersive experiences that promote language development, global awareness, and intercultural competence. My research and professional interests include second language acquisition, Spanish literature and cultures, adult learning, e-learning, instructional and curriculum design, pedagogy, and intercultural communication, with a focus on learner-centered and technology-enhanced approaches that enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
