Introduction

Ryan Bremners research applies approaches from emotion regulation to problems of social cognition and judgment and decision-making. He is currently exploring the effects of gaining distance from ones thoughts, or self-distancing, on strengthening human reflection, including the reduction of biased thought. He is also pursuing an empirical expansion to his philosophical work on happiness. He teaches Social Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Research Issues in Social Psychology.
