Introduction

I spent the first five years of my career working in Finance for Medisys, Inc. and United Healthcare, Inc. before returning to school to study engineering. The beginning of my engineering career ( five years)was spent solving heat transfer and fluid flow problems as applied to the cooling of ship and air-based radar systems. This included the design of custom coldplates that were manufactured using oven brazing and friction-stir welding. I then spent the next seven years working for two medical device companies, one that focused on providingproducts that helpmaintain normothermia during surgery, while the other company provided immunoassay diagnostic reagents and hardware. I currently (four years)solve industrial heat transfer and fluid flow problems across an array of industries including medical, aerospace, analytics, and manufacturing.
