The research focuses on the theory, practice, and assessment of micro and macro factors that impact children, adolescents, adults, families, and communities, namely: violence, crime, disasters, mental illness, substance abuse, and other vulnerabilities. Kingsley approaches his studies from a prevention and mitigation standpoint, applying rigorous techniques including structural equations, psychometric approaches, and qualitative methodologies. With combined backgrounds in law, diplomacy, social work, and mental health, I bring an integrative and trans-disciplinary approach to my teaching, research, practice, and service.
