Introduction

Kathleen B. Miller, PhD, MS is an Integrative Physiologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at the Morrison Family College of Health. She joined the University of St. Thomas in 2023. Dr. Miller earned her MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, WI and obtained postdoctoral training from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. Her research focuses on the intersection of the cardiovascular system and the brain with an emphasis on cerebrovascular regulation. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Physiological Society (APS) and has been invited by national and international organizations to present her published work on cardiovascular and brain health in different populations including pregnant women, aging adults, and astronauts. Dr. Miller was awarded the Faculty Fellowship from the Luann Dummer Center for Women in 2025. In addition to research, Dr. Miller is passionate about teaching and mentorship. She encourages her students to stay curious and enjoy the learning process.
