Introduction

Dawn Swink is passionate about teaching courses on business law and truly enjoys getting to know her students at the University of St. Thomas.

She believes students should study abroad at least once during their college career, so she has become involved in teaching these courses as well. She co-directed the London Business Semester in 2005, 2014, 2025, and co-directed a UMAIE Business Law J-Term course in Australia in 2010.

Swink has three main research interests, employment law, e-commerce and reproductive law. She has published numerous articles in scholarly journals including the American Business Law Journal, Brigham Young University Law Review, and the University of Maryland Law School's Journal of Health Care Law & Policy. She has won several awards for her articles and currently assists the editor-in-chief of the Midwest Law Journal and serves as an article reviewer for the Journal for Legal Studies in Education.
