Introduction
Chientzu Candace Chou, PhD, is a Professor and Director of the Educational Leadership and Learning Doctoral Program at the University of St. Thomas. Her work spans educational technology, learning design, digital equity, immersive learning, online education, and artificial intelligence in education.
A Fulbright Senior Scholar, Dr. Chou brings an international perspective to her teaching, research, and service. She teaches graduate courses on research methods, learning design with technology, and the pedagogical applications of emerging technologies. Her research explores the intersection of technology and education, with particular interests in online and blended learning strategies, immersive and experiential learning, digital equity, and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. She is actively engaged in institutional AI strategy and faculty development, working to help educators at both the higher education and K-12 levels navigate emerging technologies with confidence and purpose.
