Born and raised in the suburbs outside New York City, I spent my childhood and teen years exploring the woods, streams and pastures of the lower Hudson Valley. I learned to read before I was old enough to go to school, and I could often be found curled up with a book. One of eight kids in a loud, cheerful and affectionate Catholic family, faith was always an interesting subject with lots of debates and discussions around the dinner table. So when I went to college and found out you could read, write and discuss this stuff all the time (and get paid to do it) I said, "sign me up!"
I live in St. Paul with my spouse, Andy. I like gardening, knitting, and training for an annual triathlon.
