Aynur Nabiyeva, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas. Her research focuses on social entrepreneurship and, more broadly, how organizations use market mechanisms to create social value. Her current projects examine social entrepreneurship and system change, novelty in social entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Her teaching interests include design-based approach to entrepreneurship, particularly developing solutions that create social impact. At St. Thomas, she teaches entrepreneurship and innovation. Prior to joining St. Thomas, she taught related courses at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Dr. Nabiyeva completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts and her M.S. in Nonprofit Management at The New School, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Outside academia, she is a co-founder of a crowdsourced scholarship program that expands higher education access for women from low-income communities.
