Introduction
Adam Korak joined the Department of Health and Exercise Science as an Assistant Professor in Exercise Science in the Fall of 2017. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Human Performance with a specialization in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to this, Adam successfully completed his Master's degree from the University of North Alabama and his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. Adam is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Adam's research interests include comparisons of muscle activation patterns via electromyography and force production during functional movements and exercises. However, his research experience ranges from maximal oxygen consumption, lactate analysis, creatine on power output, dehydration effects, kinetics, kinematics and recovery from resistance training. Adam strives to integrate findings from current research studies into the classroom setting for more hands-on instruction. When Adam is not working he loves to lift weights, play drums, hike, attend sporting events and explore the outdoors.
