Abstract
What do recent Catechism revisions concerning the death penalty mean for Catholic judges, prosecutors, defenders, and jurors?
Number 2267 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church was revised last year to read: "Consequently, the church teaches, in the light of the Gospel, that 'the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person,' and she works with determination for its abolition worldwide." The panelists in this program will speak on the implications that this revision presents to Catholic judges, prosecutors, defenders, and jurors.
