Abstract
This article examines years of collaborative graffiti and street art research between Ellie, a former undergraduate student researcher, and Todd, a faculty member and research project co-director, to highlight the possibilities for student and faculty research partnerships. Bringing into conversation individual and paired reflections, Ellie and Todd reconsider the ‘graffiti fieldtrip’ as a collaborative learning partnership of their own as they worked to examine street art in both new and familiar spaces. In doing so, they intervene in conversations about ethical fieldwork, collaborative research, and mentorship.
