THE AUTHOR EXAMINES PUKA'S ESSAY, IN THIS ISSUE, WHICH PRESENTS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT OF KOHLBERG'S THEORY REGARDING MORAL DEVELOPMENT, AND, ALSO, KOHLBERG'S WORK ITSELF. HE ENDS UP WITH WHAT AMOUNTS TO A PHILOSOPHICAL COUNTERINVITATION: WHERE IS THE THEORY OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPOSED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH MORAL PHILOSPHY? NEITHER PUKA OR KOHLBERG SHOW THIS.
