- Annotation
- Self-described rereading of The Garden of Eden "in the aftermath of the nonidentitary grammar of [Paul] Preciado's dildonics," which leads to "another field of play for the Hemingway industry and the Hemingway reader: Hemingway as theorist of prosthetic gender." Draws on observations of sexual and gender plasticity, disability studies, queer theory, post-structuralism, and other critical studies, in examining key episodes in the published and manuscript versions of the novel.
