- Annotation
- Comparison of gender in Hemingway s posthumous works, A Moveable Feast and The Garden of Eden, as well as an inter-textual conversation about sexual ambiguity. Addresses androgyny as a controlling theme as well as the metacommentary on writing found in both works to discuss Hemingway s feelings towards gender play. Concludes with a discussion of Hemingway s own clandestine sexual exploration with Hadley based on an omitted sketch from A Moveable Feast and an analysis of the consequence of sexual ambivalence as a dissociative vehicle in The Garden of Eden.
