Abstract
This submission of How to Bring Someone Back to Life is part of a young adult novella. This novella spans multiple genres, mainly science fiction, speculative fiction, and realistic fiction. It is set in the late 2010s at the University of Geneva, an imaginary University that specializes in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. There are three protagonists, Victor Volt, Hunter Hozier, and Katherine Rhodes. All three are in their early 20s and seniors at the university. Victor and Hunter are best friends and the top genetics students at the University. They face a deadly turning point in their friendship when Hunter accidentally kills Katherine, his girlfriend. Desperate, Hunter asks Victor to attempt to resurrect her. As science blurs with obsession, their friendship fractures. The experiment changes everything—turning best friends into bitter enemies and raising the question: what should never be revived?
