Abstract
This paper is based on a case study analysis of a particular incident of forgiveness occurring during an ongoing war in Northern Uganda. It considers the process of forgiveness & how & why it is occurring in a locale where war is still ongoing after 20 years. The analysis in this paper demonstrates that locally fostered forgiveness can & is playing a considerable role in conflict resolution, even while violence is ongoing in Northern Uganda. The specific methodology utilized in this study includes primary source interviews, participant observation, surveys & public presentations which I attended in both Northern Uganda & Boston over the past three years supplemented by extensive secondary materials.
