Abstract
Political polarization and its deleterious effects on everything from policy making to civility has been the subject of so much scholarship and popular commentary that imagining a fresh take on the topic is hard; however, Persily (Stanford Law School) has accomplished precisely this. By tasking top political scientists with not only describing the sources and consequences of polarization but also proposing solutions, Persily gives experts a voice in the ongoing debate over political reforms.
