Abstract
India's rise as an Asian and a global power has been the subject of much scholarly discussion in recent years. Gordon (visiting fellow, Australian National Univ.) brings his considerable knowledge of and experience with India's domestic and foreign affairs to bear in this work examining India's emergence in the Asian region. He focuses primarily on the domestic-level challenges that may undermine India's ability to fulfill its potential.
