Abstract
[Jain] (visiting professor, SUNY, Binghamton) analyzes the emergence of India in the post-Cold War period using a state-level analysis framework. He argues that India's choice of security and strategic policies in the post-Cold War period can be understood only in the context of the geopsychology (i.e., perceptions, historical experiences, mind-sets, psychology, and strategic thought) of its ruling class and other influential state-level actors).
