Abstract

Diversity and Management Encyclopedias International Business
Teams are employed as a coordination mechanism in organizations around the globe. This means teams are often composed of people from different cultures. These teams are variously referred to as global, multicultural, cross-cultural, or culturally diverse. Over the past few decades, a robust literature has emerged to understand how culture matters in teams. This entry introduces and summarizes research at the intersection of culture and teams and suggests directions for future research.
